The next installment in the Little Nightmares franchise should finally grace our screens in 2025 after being delayed from 2024. It's an exciting prospect to see a slightly new direction of this game, and there are high hopes for the horror factor as Supermassive Games have had a hand in development (Until Dawn).

Little Nightmares III follows on from the success of its predecessors accolades of best horror games. Set in the dark and foreboding world of Nowhere, Low and Alone are trapped within the Spiral - an area that is the fuel of childhood terrors and disturbing delusions.

Introducing a new aspect to gameplay, Little Nightmares III can be played co-op, with each player piloting Low and Alone. However, if you prefer to play solo you will be joined by an AI companion.

Little Nightmares III is a puzzle game where you will use the unique items of Low and Alone to escape the Spiral as darkness creeps in your peripheral and the ambient sounds make you question your own mind.

In the next evolution of JRPGs, Clair Obscur | Expedition 33 is out now!

Already a huge success with ratings and reviews holding at over 90% positive across platforms and critics, this turn-based RPG is one to jump on as it is so soon after release.

We're introduced to the Expedition 33 team, one you will lead on a journey to defeat the Paintress before she can paint death again. After a yearly slumber, the Paintress wakes and scrawls a new number on her monolith, sentencing all those at the age the number depicts.

Set in a world inspired by Belle Époque France, take on villains and monsters with the Expedition 33 team.

For the deep sea explorers, Early Access for Subnautica 2 has been coined to be available in 2025.

Similarly to the previous Subnautica games, you will be departing from Planet 4546B and this time you'll be exploring a brand new ocean world setting of bioluminescence and new deep creatures.

In an exciting new feature, Unknown Studio has included cross platform coop multiplayer in Subnautica 2 - as well as new customization options and base building features.

There's a lot of rumored aspects to come, you can read more on the Subnautica 2 official site, including which platforms will be featured in early access.

It's been a long time coming...

Ark 2 was highly anticipated in its first introduction at the Game Awards back in 2020 and there have been some delays - but the most recent news tells us that we finally have hope of an expected release date in 2025.

Whilst not too much is known at this time except that it picks up from the Ark: Survival Evolved DLC. To avoid spoilers for those who haven't played it, our new protagonist is Santiago (voiced by Vin Diesel who has also joined the Studio Wildcard team as an executive producer).

The hope is that Ark will finally have concrete news of a 2025 release so that fans can return to a world of fighting for survival against dinosaurs with huge stature and even huger teeth.

We haven't got much longer to wait for the next one - The Alters is set to release on June 13th 2025 for PC, Playstation 5 and XBOX Series X|S.

The game, created by 11 Bit Studios, has an interesting and deep narrative focusing on the survival of the protagonist, Jan Dolski, who has crash landed onto an unknown planet. Jan's plan is to create alternate versions of himself - Alters - to aid in his survival and complete a huge amount of tasks required to stay alive.

As part of your survival, you will be able to base build. Namely a huge base you have to control to shelter yourself from dangerous radiation and the lethal sun rays.

By using the technology you have back at base, you grow and control your Alters to make use of the skills they have gathered in their alternative universes such as science, technology and more. These important skills, and the way that you connect with them emotionally and logically, could be the difference between life and death.

This narrative-heavy, survival game has so many levels of exploration, building, decision making and more.

There has been a rise in popularity of AA games, with many new releases getting overwhelmingly positive reviews across the board. Whilst AA game studios are smaller compared to the AAA giants, more and more creators are picking up smaller studio games to stream on their channels. Whilst some might consider it a risk, jumping on a potentially growing game could have huge benefits for those looking to get in there early.
