Streamlabs Integrates With Kick Streaming Platform

Stream directly to Kick with Streamlabs - no stream keys!

The latest update from Kick and Streamlabs is fantastic news for streamers and creators. Streamlabs have welcomed Kick into the fold and have integrated a huge amount of features to make streaming on Kick that much easier.

This includes alerts, widgets, chatboxes, monetization options and the ability to go live on Kick via the Streamlabs app.

Kick streamers can now connect to their platform via Streamlabs desktop, the mobile app, the website, and the Streamlabs plugin for OBS - without manually entering their stream key.

For streamers who stream in multiple places, with Streamlabs Ultra - their premium service - you can also multistream to your platforms and this now includes Kick.

As well as a bunch of exciting features, this now means that our GETREKT Elements 2D animated alerts are included in our easy 1-click setup. If you have previously purchased 2D animated alerts from us, please redownload.

How To Stream On Kick Using Streamlabs

Let's first go through how to get your Kick channel setup with Streamlabs.

Sign Up To Kick

Head over to Kick.

Click the signup button in the top righthand corner and create your kick account.

Tips for you: Choose a strong creator name, something that is easy to recognize and spell. If you already have a creator name, try to make it consistent across platforms.

Sign Up To Streamlabs

Visit the Streamlabs website and sign up.

You may have some options to log in with other platforms, you can choose to do this and forgo signing up directly to Streamlabs.

If you're on PC, you can download the desktop app - but you can use Kick with the website, app, or with the OBS plugin.

Connect Kick In Settings

When you've got whichever version of the Streamlabs app ready to use:

Open Streamlabs
Click settings in the bottom left corner
Go to Stream
Scroll to locate Kick
Click the connect button on the right
If you're already signed into Kick on the device you are using, it will likely do it automatically - or your browser will pop up and you'll be asked to connect and grant permissions.

Go Live Via Streamlabs

If you haven't already, before you head down the next step of going live, make sure to import your overlays and other engagement tools. Stream overlays can be found in our Elements store, supported by 1-click setup and our helpful stream guides.

When you're ready to go live, find the button in the bottom right and it'll bring up the window above.
Select the platform you want to use and make sure the slider is highlighted and pulled to the right.
Set your title and category. Double check the title on Kick, Streamlabs have said that this functionality is coming. You may need to set the title again manually on Kick.

Use Widgets, Chat Boxes and Alerts On Kick via Streamlabs

With Streamlabs integrating Kick, this means that your stream overlays choices are expanding!

Set up your stream alerts to get notifications.
Integrate your chat from Kick into Streamlabs.
Include engaging and interactive widgets.
Log into the Streamlabs App with Kick.
Log into Streamlabs OBS plugin directly with Kick.
Set up a tip page on Streamlabs to collect donations and monetization options.

Setup 2D Alerts In One Click

For GETREKT Elements purchasers - we have great news!

Our 2D animated alerts are now supported by our 1-click setup. This means, the same as the other platforms we support such as OBS, you can install your alerts for Kick using Streamlabs.

I've transcribed the steps from our 1-click setup instructions below, but you can find the full thing, including our full stream setup and other guides in our Hub under the Guides section.

A couple of notes to keep in mind:

If you are using OBS.Studio, create a browser source, set it to 960x540, then paste the link provided by Streamlabs.
If you are using Streamlabs Desktop, you can do the same as OBS.Studio, or create and alertbox in app, set the resolution to 960x540 and move to preference.

Streamlabs Alert Setup Steps 1 - 7

1. Log into your streamlabs account.

2. Download and unzip the folder from your dashboard

3. Find the folder named Alert_One_Click

4. Locate the SL Animated/Static Alerts and double click on the shortcut

5. This will bring you to your streamlabs account, with an option to replace one of your themes. Scroll to the bottom and select Create next to “Create a new Widget Theme”.

6. Name the theme what you’d like, and click on Create again.

7. This will return you to the previous popup with all your current streamlabs themes, select the new one you just created. This will save our alertbox over the new theme you just created.

8. While in the themes menu, make sure the new theme you created is the active theme, and select the correct scene collection if you are using this on streamlabs.

9. These One-Click alert boxes come with custom code that contain our recommended use case of the alerts; designer recommended font and splitting of name and amounts data to 2 lines for all alerts.

---Google Font, Font colour, Top & Bottom line vertical placement can also be changed for preference.

10. If you would like to to customize the alerts, you can do so in browser or in the streamlabs desktop app (assuming the correct theme is set to the correct scene collection)

11. When you are happy you can head back to themes while in browser, locate and click the link icon, followed by the clipboard icon next to Alertbox in the following popup window, and paste this as a 960x540 browser source in your streaming app.

It's an exciting time to be a Kick streamer! With this update to Streamlabs, it has opened a huge amount of doors that creators have been crying for since Kick launched. Features are constantly updating with Streamlabs working hard on more options including gifted subs and cloudbot.
