Respawn and GETREKT have joined forces to deliver a complete set of production assets for the Apex Legends Creator Tournament Series. This initiative is part of Apex Legends Creator Program and is focused on supporting grassroots tournaments driven by the creator community. Designed exclusively for streamers, these tournaments give creators the tools to bring their audiences together through community competition.

Streaming Firepower Provided by Respawn and GETREKT

To support the Creator Tournament Series, Respawn provides a robust set of tools and incentives to help creators grow their events and engage their communities. This includes time-based Twitch Drops to drive viewership, TikTok drops for expanded reach, and entitlement codes for Apex Coin packs to reward participation. Respawn will also offer access to third-party merchandise through approved partners, direct funding for winner prize pools, and enable Twitch’s “Support a Streamer” feature to encourage sub gifting. When requested, we can even involve ALGS pro players or casters to bring high-level energy and visibility to creator-led tournaments.

How do I get a tournament submitted?

You need to be part of the Apex Legends Creator Program. You can apply here: https://apexlegendscreatorhub.com/. Once accepted, you may submit your tournament request.

How do I get access to the Creator Tournament Asset Pack?

After your tournament is approved, you are free to come to the GETREKT website to get your overlay.

Do I need approval from Respawn to run a tournament?

No, you are always free to find unique ways to engage with your community. However, officially recognized tournaments that are funded and supported by Respawn will need to go through our Creator Program.

How do Twitch Drops work for these events?

Twitch Drops are automatically granted to participating channels who are playing and streaming in the tournament.

Can I request prizing support from Respawn?

Yes, you can! This is a service exclusive to the Creator Program, so include that request in your submission.

Can I run a tournament with other creators as co-hosts or partners?

Yes! Co-hosted events are encouraged. Just ensure all participating creators are in the Creator Program or are willing to apply.

Note that competitors do not need to be part of the creator program, but we invite them to apply

Are there restrictions on the tournament format or ruleset?

You may choose the format that fits your audience. If the tournament receives official support, we may review the ruleset to ensure it aligns with brand and community standards.

How many players can participate in a Creator Tournament?

You can host events ranging from small matches to full 60-player lobbies. For formats needing more players, consider running qualifiers or multiple lobbies.

Can I offer my own prizing?

Yes. You're welcome to provide your own prizing through personal funds, sponsors, or community initiatives, you simply need to speak with Respawn to ensure they are approved and within community guidelines. Respawn prizing support is reviewed based on alignment and availability.

Will Respawn help promote my tournament?

Events that are officially supported will receive amplification via social media and inclusion in our upcoming videos. Include your goals and timing in the submission for best consideration.

What tools or resources will I receive to help run my event?

You’ll receive overlays, logos, and tournament kit materials, prize pool funding, drops for Twitch, and giveaways as requested. Larger or featured events may receive added support from GETREKT or Respawn staff.

What if I’ve never hosted a tournament before?

That’s okay! Indicate that in your submission. We can connect you with resources or agency partners who can provide guidance to make sure your vision comes together.

Can I host a tournament on platforms other than Twitch (e.g., YouTube, TikTok)?

Yes, but Twitch Drops only apply to Twitch. You’re free to stream on any platform, just note the limitations of platform-specific rewards.

How far in advance should I submit my request?

Please submit your request at least 4 -5 weeks before your planned event to allow for review, support coordination, and promotion if applicable.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel my event?

If plans change, notify us as soon as possible via the Creator Hub or your Respawn contact so we can update resources and communications.

What kind of Tournament styles can I submit?

We are looking for the goofier side of competition when it comes to ideas. Do you want to host an entire DnD campaign for your event? Bows Only? How about every competitor can only use the same legends? Any ideas that bring out the most fun are the best way to go.
