Author Biography

Emma has been gaming since she could pick up a controller (now a mouse and keyboard) and aimed to turn a life long hobby into a career. After picking up Destiny in 2014, this led her into judging PVP tournaments, joining GETREKT Live for charity LAN events and The Reactor, and streaming on Twitch on the side.

Emma earned a BSc in Psychology and chose to specialise in Events and Marketing with a sub-interest in Creative Writing. Her degree allowed her to discover how people tick, focusing on the social nuances and behaviour of the gaming industry and the content creator uprising. After years of experience running campaigns and events all over the country, including involvement with the NSE, Emma joined GETREKT as a full team member.

Using her long-time experience in the gaming and live streaming industries - she now writes tips for streamers, the latest streaming news, and stream setup guides to help you achieve your streaming goals on Twitch, YouTube, or any of the major platforms.

Whilst still an avid gamer, Emma spends her time squeezing as many hobbies as possible into the hours left in the day (who needs sleep?) including reading, 3D modelling, and writing her own novels.
